I am so excited about the amazing toy shopping trip at Target today.  Let me preface this by saying sorry to some of my friends who read my blog because you guys are getting to see what some of your kids are getting for Christmas.  Yes you read right I am shopping for next Christmas.  I can proudly say I went the last two Christmases without using the credit card, and most of that is by shopping ahead...do you think the deal will be as hot around Christmas?

I made a quick trip to Walmart today (the cashier was a little aggravating).  I never let my total come to a negative amount b/c well....it confuses the cashiers.  I bought myself a shirt to cover the overage.

Shopping Trip: Walmart 5/18 for just a nickel

I stopped into Walmart today and was crossing my fingers that they would have some of the items I had coupons for back in stock (I think we have some shelf clearers at my location- these are people that leave the shelf empty when they buy the stores entire stock).  I was in luck because they had restocked with all the items I needed.  I got everything pictured for just $.05 (including tax), and here is how I did it.

*I wasn't sure if the pouches were included with the coupon and it stated mixers, but it did state any size or flavor.  I asked the manager and she thought the pouches were included and it scanned without issue.

*OK I will pause as you giggle about me buying K-Y but they paid me $.38 cents to take it out of the store.  This is a good example of buying items that are moneymaker, and if you don't need it you can donate it and use the overage for the rest of your purchase.  Look at this neat article I found an alternative uses for K-Y

I headed to Target today to pick up a few items that I had Target printable coupons for.  I also wanted to scope out the clearance rack to see if there were any great deals to pair my $3 off Mossimo coupon with.

Shopping Trip: World Market 5/5 $1.87 Spent + 3 FREE Photobooks and Prints

I posted last night that when you sign up for the World Market Rewards Program they sent you a birthday e-mail with $10 off any purchase.  Well being the World Market lover that I am my birthday certificate was burning a hole in my pocket so I went this morning to spend it.

Here is what I got-

5X7 Picture Frame- Reg $9.99 at 50% off or $4.99

4X6 Picture Frame- Reg $9.99 at 50% off or $4.99 (at this point my subtotal is $9.98 just $.02 shy of my $10 minimum threshold....I hate it when that happens)

Easter Salt & Pepper Shakers- Reg $6.99 at 75% off or $1.75

FINAL: $1.87 including tax after my $10 b-day certificate

Here is the even bigger surprise....my receipt printed out 3 separate coupons for a Snapfish Photobook with 5 prints.  The coupon says b/w 5/1 and 5/15 get a free Photobook and 5 prints with any $5.00 desktop or wall frames purchase.  I am not sure why it printed three seeing as I only bought two frames but this was an awesome bonus. 

Walmart: Clothing Clearance Jackpot 5/4

I was having a crummy day for sure and decided to get out of the house to run a few errands.  My routine is the same, go in and get what is on my list.  The only deviations I allow myself is to hit the clearance racks in clothing (both Adult & Children), and the few aisles devoted souly to clearance items at my local Wal-Mart.  I use this strategy when heading into any of the big discount stores.  I am sure not to miss a clearance deal and I only add a few minutes onto my trip.

Here is the BIG LESSON of this post....I had been checking the clearance periodically at my local Walmart and everything was a priced a little high for my liking ($8 for a clearance infant outfit at Walmart is more than I am willing to spend).  I kept checking the same racks each time I was there seeing the same clearance still priced higher than I was willing to pay.  WAITING PAYS OFF because today all clearance children's clothes were marked just $1.  I was able to score tons of outfits for my little girl for next fall, and even bought a few that will be given as parts of Christmas gifts for some little ones in my life.  I also can't forget that I grabbed a cute sweater in the women's department as well.

Shopping Trip: 4/29 The Mall

The kiddo and I needed to get out of the house today as we have been cooped up most of the week.  I headed to the mall which can be a dangerous place if you are trying to maintain a budget.  How can you do a little shopping, have a nice afternoon out, and not break the bank...coupons of course.

I used the $10 of $10 coupon that I posted about yesterday.  I scored three pairs of underwear on clearance at $2.95 each.  To get over the $10 mark I added a $1.95 mints.  After my coupon and tax my total was just $0.80.

Victoria's Secret:

It is beneficial to get on mailing lists because often around your birthday you start receiving coupons for free items.  Victoria's Secret sent me a card for $10 off any purchase since my birthday is in May.  I also took my coupon for a free panty with any Pink purchase that I posted about earlier this week.  I picked out a bottle of Pink perfume priced at $10 (it smells so good), and grabbed my free panty.  With my $10 coupon and the free panty coupon (which they allowed me to combine) I paid NOTHING.

Great American Cookies
Well all that shopping can stir up some hunger so I headed over to the Great American Cookies where I scored 6 cookies for fun.  They aren't pictured because I might have eat all the cookies before I got home.

Shopping Trip 4/1: Everything FREE

Ok so you know I have been on a road trip the last few days so my wonderful, and amazing BF Dawn took both her and my coupons to Walmart and scored all you see above for FREE!!!!!  I couldn't believe it but the Finish is originally $9.47 each.  The Renuzits are $.96.  That means we got $64.66 worth of stuff for FREE!!!!!!!

You can still score both of these deals though the Finish deal is only good through tomorrow b/c the Big Lot ad you need to use for the price match is good through Saturday.
